A mini Barefoot Shiatsu workshop with Roy Mulholland, Feb 8th, from 6-8pm cost £12.

As you will be aware, many professional shiatsu therapists have to contend with dodgy Shiatsu knee syndrome, splay thumb, crumbly arthriticy/wrists, creaky backs and some have to resort to working on tables.

I teach injury prevention for therapists and artists, abdominal and kidney breathing, ergonomic movement, and have worked with many schools of shiatsu and with some of the leading dancers and opera singers in Italy all based on Chi Kung and Tai Chi.

Shiatsu touch for parents and children

workshops for adults and children to give and receive Shiatsu massage to each other

Mondays at 4–5pm

Children's age: 7–10 years

£7 per workshop, for one child and one adult

The aim of these workshops is for adults to be confident about their natural skills in giving acupressure massage to children; and to show how children can instinctively give effective massage themselves.

Shiatsu involves gentle pressing and stretches, helps you feel very relaxed and gets your energy flowing, making you feel better. You do not take your clothes off for Shiatsu.

The teacher, Tamsin Grainger, has been giving and teaching Shiatsu for 17 years, and her special interest is in working with children and their carers, pregnant women and running baby shiatsu classes. She has two teenagers.

To book, please fill in the application form and return either on-line to admin@tssed.org or by post to The Shiatsu Centre.

You are welcome to phone 07821 264 882 for further information, or to check out www.shiatsu.ryoho.co.uk.
